We’re looking for singers who enjoy performing pop, rock, disco, jazz, gospel, and Broadway and who want to spread the fun of show choir music throughout the Greater Houston area.
Houston Choral Showcase Auditions
Auditions to join Houston Choral Showcase will be held in three phases. Session 1 is open to all applicants aged at least 18 years. Selected participants from Session 1 will then be invited to join Sessions 2 and 3.

Audition Session 1
You will meet with the Music Director to ascertain your vocal range, sing a verse and chorus of a song chosen from our selected list (to be determined), and discuss your musical background.
You will also receive information about Houston Choral Showcase and have the opportunity to ask questions about the organization.
Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment to allow time for filling out an information form.
Selected auditioners will be invited to participate in Session 2.
Audition Session 2
Candidates will meet as a group for two hours with the Music Director to vocalize, sing sample repertoire from the upcoming season, and do some choreographed movement. Bring water and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
Selected auditioners will be invited to participate in Session 3.
Audition Session 3
Candidates will participate in the regular rehearsal of Houston Choral Showcase, where the choir will begin to work on the regular season repertoire.
If auditioners are offered a place in Houston Choral Showcase, membership for the season will become active once dues have been paid.
Houston Choral Showcase has two performance seasons. The Spring season starts in mid-January and ends in mid-June. The Fall season runs from mid-August to mid-December with an emphasis on winter holiday music.
Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7-9:30pm at Hogg Middle School, 1100 Merrill St, Houston, TX 77009.
This mixed show choir performs four-part choral arrangements in a variety of popular styles, including pop, jazz, swing, gospel and Broadway. Choreographed movement and staging are an integral part of performances, along with vibrant costumes and props.
In addition to producing one or two ticketed shows per season, Houston Choral Showcase is also hired to perform at private and public events. The group makes regular appearances at major public events such as holiday lighting ceremonies and art festivals.
